The Konkan coast's petroglyphs hold significant historical value and stand as a vital heritage site. Given that many of these heritage sites are situated on private properties, the preservation of these sites becomes intrinsically tied to the benefits they offer to multiple stakeholders, particularly landowners and the local administration. Therefore, establishing a well-structured tourism ecosystem centered around these heritage sites takes on great importance.

We implement this project along with IIT Madras, IIT Hyderabad, Jawaharlal Nehru University - Delhi and Nisargyatri Sanstha. The project is funded under the Science and Heritage Research Initiative (SHRI) of the Department of Science and Technology.
